The M60 focuses on clip size with a moderate damage, at the loss of fire rate and precision, as well as a long reload. While many people choose the M60 to bypass having to worry about clips, it's also fairly good in its own right as well. While in a stand-off were every shot hit the M60 would generally lose, it's very good to counter conj while still having decent damage. It also removes the enemy's advantage of firing while you're reloading, which in some situations traps the person until your occasional shots whittle down their health to 0, or causes them to prematurely have to move / begin re-firing.
The M60 has the most ammo and the highest DPC (Damage Per Clip) of any gun.
