It's important to dig a tunnel up to the small towers on each side of the map. Digging up to the left makes a ramp so that less-expereinced players can simply walk up to it, and the one to the right is a safety-net to the second spawn encase the first flag is captured, ensuring a quick access to the second flag (which would be at the old spawn). The tunnel to the right only needs 1 person to dig, and it's often wise to wait for the other tunnel to be finished so that less-experienced players don't follow you.
